t's in great condition, not major rips, stains or general disrepair. The size, it's perfect for storing and carrying delicate and large brimmed hats. This is a primary concern of mine. I have many hats that are not easily packable for travel. Functional, it's hard cased and can hold multiple hats with ease without worrying about them being crushed or damaged. Slight vintage musty smell but that should be removable with a spritz of vodka for mold, and clay cat litter. Overall I love this hatcase
