Item description from the seller
Seller feedback (976)
- e***r (1900)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseThis 7 LP set features 79 folk dance tunes and a book with instructions for 202 folk dances from 22 countries which can be done to the tunes. It features 3 orchestras: Michael Herman's Folk Dance Orchestra, Maxham's Folk Dance Orchestra, and the Pinewood Players. Michael Herman was one of the leaders of the folk dance revival from the 1940s to the 60s, and his orchestra, which featured his own violin and often the excellent accordion of Walter Erickson, made excellent recordings.
