The Canon 500 monopod is a lightweight alternative that works well for taking nature photos or moving around a sporting event grabbing action shots. Made of aluminum construction, the monopod is durable and sturdy. A foam grip provides plenty of hand comfort and prevents slippage in the event of hand moisture. An attached hand strap lets you carry the monopod easily from shoot to shoot and gives you the opportunity to quickly move your camera to a different location when taking nature photos. Using the hand strap, you can also turn the camera pod into a makeshift shoulder mount for capturing photos on the go. Specifications for this mobile camera pod include a total weight of 1.1 pounds and an extension up to 64.5 inches. It has five sections that allows it to extend fully and remain durable. While the monopod extends to a little over five feet, it easily folds to 21.9 inches for traveling and storage.
