The electrical potentiometer worked fine as I tested it on the ground and connected to the car gauge. The float shed a whites substance when soaked in gasoline and turned the gas brown; about a 8" dia. scum but the float seemed okay after about 6 hours. The tubing is shorter than the OEM and the last bend for the filter was not at 90 degrees so it bent it. The last angular bend was too sharp and the unit hit the bottom of the tank and would not allow the flange to set properly-it had to be bent!
