I installed the rebuilt lower unit and took the boat out a couple weeks ago. It switched gears smoothly and no water was in the oil when I got back. So it seems this is a good unit and I'll hopefully get many years out of it.
For the record, I voted for Obama and thought he did a really good job. Please keep the politics off ebay as I would never have considered buying from a "Hell No Obama" ebay seller but the feedback was good and finding a good working unit was difficult. Take care.

I would never leave negative feedback and affect a sellers score. This lower unit arrived showing signs of skeg scuffs/scrapes that had been sanded/repainted and the interior shows signs of corrosion. I assummed it was in new condition. I cannot sell/install as new.
