The charging cable did NOT charge regardless of how I plugged it in, but I had my original charging cable which worked immediately. Everything else went smoothly - even though iTunes no longer exists so I had to figure out how the ipod shuffle would mount and where to locate in apple music. All good, hope it lasts a while! Back to swimming with a small, Mac device. Yay!
