They may be admired as static exhibits in Belfast, Cardiff, Dublin, Glasgow and London, but rides can still be enjoyed on them at Carlton Colville, Suffolk and Sandtoft, North Lincolnshire. Old Trolleybuses traces the fascinating history of the trolleybus from the first experiments in this mode of electric transport carried out over one hundred years ago to the retirement of the trolleybus system in recent decades., Interest in old trolleybuses increased as they began to disappear from the urban landscape in the early 1960s, and this interest has been boosted in recent years by the prospect of a new generation of trolleybuses designed in - and for - the twenty-first century.
