Given that I have seen the identical set offered several other places, since I placed my order, and that none of them are claiming the set to be 1980s "New Old Stock," I have my genuine doubts about that claim. Given the ratio of shipping cost to item cost, I decided it is not worth the effort to return the set. I have ZERO use for such cheap luggage.
