      These work ok for synthetic opal. They burn out quickly, and you need to keep them wet when sawing. Overall, they are pretty expensive for what they are (piano wire coated in diamond dust). If you are looking to do lots of lapidary or stone cutting with a jewelers saw, these will work, but they don't last long at all.
