It should be wired to a 15A dual breaker at the load center. Although it might be tempting to just put a plug on the equipment that matches your 240v 30A or 50A welder, you will probably end up smoking the 2hp motor and it's controlling circuitry in a heavy cut or stall. Just get the right outlet! And protect your toys.
