Hard drives come in both internal and external forms and the two most common types are HDD and SATA. The Toshiba MK556GSX is an internal HDD hard drive designed solely for the PC. This Toshiba internal hard drive offers an ample amount of space with a 160 GB maximum capacity. Even with a large operating system, 160 GB on a Toshiba hard drive is still enough room to store many programs, files, photos and other items. The Toshiba MK556GSX spins at speeds of 5400 RPMs and is roughly 2.5 inches (6.3 centimetres) in size. The Toshiba internal hard drive boasts only a PC platform, as it is not available to Mac users at this time. There is an 8 MB buffer with the Toshiba MK556GSX and it has an ATA/ATAP1-8, SAS, SATA I and SATA II interface.
