The book is organized by type of project'?clothing, housewares, accessories, and gifts'?rather than period, so a classic-Hollywood style wrap, a 1970s-style mesh tunic, and a bobbled cloche-and-scarf combo show up in the same chapter. This can be a bit jarring, but it could also help crocheters find designs that may be outside their comfort zone. Directions are provided for each pattern; an appendix covers the specialty stitches used in the patterns. Most of the projects are appropriate for advanced beginners and beyond.
