The box was damaged so perhaps the pump got damaged in transit although there were no marks on the machine.. Lene with Waterdrop customer service was responsive and worked with me closely to troubleshoot and then replace the unit. All is good now. We've been operating the replacement unit for a few days and the replacement unit looks great and seems to be a great value.
