- a***r (212)- Feedback left by buyer.More than a year agoVerified purchaseI wanted a cheap speedo/ Tach for my old bass boat. Installed this to a 1976 Evinrude 70hp. I used the hot and ground on ingnition switch found inside the controller to power the unit. I used the gray wire from engine rectifier as the sending wire also found inside the controller. I set the tachometer to a pulse setting of 6 and worked fine as confirmed by a digital photo tachometer. The gps speedometer worked flawlessly as confirmed by a Jet Ski speedometer running at pace with the bass boat.
