It was difficult to find this item brand new, but the seller had it new and still in its original packaging. I assumed that the packaging was going to be worn out and faded, but it wasn't. Obviously it was stored properly. I give "ruggedportablecomputersllc" an A+ and would do business with them again in the future.

    Well packaged. Fast shipping. As described. Works fine, currently in use. Don't have to use extra backplane connector but it's available in case needed in the future. Better/safer choice than that MiniSAS to SATA generic cable available everywhere that doesn't even have strain relief.
