You DO have to let the water run a few minutes to get the air and fine particles out. It has a charcoal filter, this is normal. Bubbles once they disappear you’ll know the filer is ready to use.

Fortunately ebay always manages to have it for much less than buying it from a brick-and-mortar store, but I always take extra care to make sure it is an exact fit. So far I have had no problems with the replacements I have ordered and this current purchase went fine. It is in service and the water taste from the kitchen faucet is bright and pleasing.
