    Very poor quality handle, I appreciate it was classed as "seconds" but it should have at least been serviceable as delivered. Tapered end was badly split to the point where I doubt it would have lasted long at all. Fortunately as I needed a 24" handle I was able to cut off the damaged part and reshape the remainder. Even so the grain would have been better orientated had the handle been split perpendicular to the way it was.
