Tripod hole means it has to go over the existing tripod fixing as replacement for decor plate rather than completely replacing the fixture, otherwise there is a gaping hole in the bottom of one’s ‘blad. The adapter tripod hole does not align with the original and is rather shallow - so maybe not the best idea if you also need to use on non-Arca fit heads.
