Kidde alarm sensors have a Turn-ON switch that cannot be reversed once is turned ON, which was the case. In addition, there is a seal on the sensor to preserve it, so it doesn t get contaminated by dirt/smoke/dust. This seal was not present as well, another indication that the sensor was used. This sensor should have NEVER been sold as new, only as used and if the listing was set as used, I wouldn t buy it.
