Boards display ... “Rare 1st edition in original green cloth boards with printed cover and gilt titling. Boards display very well with bright gilt, a little rubbing and edge wear to the cloth, and bumps to the head and foot of the spine. Endpapers are in very good condition, firm at the hinges. Separation of some stapled signatures from the text block as pictured (these Sampson Low bindings had stapled signatures which had a habit of separating from the spine; British Goblins bindings could also have this issue). Some restoration is required to reaffix these signatures. Pages are excellent, with only minor foxing to the early gatherings, and most pages are uncreased and unmarked. Contains an advert in the rear for British Goblins. A wonderful and unique title on South Wales customs and history. Please see the photo for condition details. Weight: 943g.”
