However, the toast is uneven - more brown on the inner part - so I have to remove the toast from the slot, reverse it, and then turn the toaster back on for about half a minute. The elements behave no differently than the ones I took out, but for the money, I could not complain. What I did in the end I replace the middle element with one of the lower wattage end elements I took out, and the toaster seems to work better.
