The Minolta X-700 is a 35mm SLR film camera first introduced in 1981, and it is a high quality consumer level camera. It is a manual focus camera with a high shutter speed. The Minolta X-700 won the title 'European Camera of the Year' in 1981, and it was state-of-the-art before the introduction of auto-focus. The camera works excellently in outdoor or indoor settings for landscapes or portrait images. A Minolta X-700 is an excellent investment for any manual focus SLR enthusiast, because its widespread popularity means there are plenty of compatible accessories and lenses available to complement the camera.
