Seller Notes: “Genuine original Australian made BOSCH GT 40 ignition coil which has been kept in storage for ... “Genuine original Australian made BOSCH GT 40 ignition coil which has been kept in storage for decades since early 1980s. Had been originally obtained to fit to Ford V8 but had not been put to service. Good points of this unit is that these were originally made in Australia & they had a heavier duty thicker copper core winding within the former construct as compared with the current series coils. Coil being offered for sale is heavier duty ign coil. Later current GT40 HV coils are made in Asia & the coil winding specs are not as good as this original Australian made unit. This coil would be a fairly rare commodity for someone whom may wish to put a better & more ‘true to the era’ ign system component into their engine bay. This original vintage coil unit can be identified by the different mounting bracket being utilized as compared to newer current ones & the style of the front logo badge has a slightly different visual design also. May be a better alternative to purchase of new one.”
