It's as new bar one or two tiny rubs on the retractable hood. They need a magnifying glass to be seen. The aperture ring is smooth and 'clicky'. The focus ring action is silky smooth and light with no play in the action. It’s a touch lighter than I expected, but I have to say that it’s a joy to use. One really can focus accurately with just a small movement of one’s finger. The aperture blades move snappily and are free of oil and are spotlessly clean. With this lens, the blades sit behind all the glass, and so they can get dirty if the lens is mistreated. These are perfect. The bayonet mount is in excellent condition.Optical: Near MintThere is a tiny chord of coating damage to the extreme outside edge of the front lens. It’s almost invisible, but I’ve tried to photograph it in such a way that makes it obvious. As its right at the edge.. cont'd below...”
