The offset of the crank handle from the shaft that turns the jack screw is only about 3-1/2 inches. That small offset doesn't provide enough leverage for my daughter to be able to jack up her small car. It was pretty hard for me to jack up the car, too. In comparison, the handle that came with a different scissor jack that i own has an offset of about 10 inches. I have just ordered a different jack handle with a larger handle offset.
