The item was supposed to be "New". But it had been open and played with previously. All the tape were already cut. The safety paper that stops the battery from working was removed. And there was a safefile already in the Vpet. When I contacted the seller he told me that he only deals with NEW item and basically dismissed me. In the end I don't care too much since the item feels new and there is no scratches on it. It is just very odd to buy "New" and received "USED" and be gaslight by the seller
