    Thanks for response earlier. will keep unit, but does not work as expected. You do have to use the dongle, There are new mini C male connectors with female USB A connector on other end. Plug the dongle into the A female and the other end Male mini C to the newer phones. (You can get a connector that has the mini micro to fit the older phones. )Will try to take time to write to you later with a full report for your info and use. Some mice and keyboards will work directly without dongle..
