    Unless you have a very stubby Phillips screwdriver, the one that you've got is probably too long to fit in the jug and allow you to tighten this properly. A "Z type screwdriver" is really what you need. The provided instructions are clear and concise and I had no problems following them. I've not tried using the "plugged" jar in a real world situation yet, but the recommended test proved successful and I have no reason to suspect this won't work exactly as it should. All-in-all, a good buy!

    As advertised, perfect seal, no leaks. Plastic plugs could leak, do NOT waste your time, $, or return hassle. Not expensive; The 2 washers are food-grade 304 stainless steel, $9 apiece on Amazon. The unique plug has a concentric inner lip that seals through the spigot hole, using the inner Phillips bolt, SS washer, external SS washer, and 11 mm nut. Bolt and plug are also food grade. More $ if you could even find these parts. Well-designed, and EASILY worth the $36 shipped.

    The item works great and fixed the problem I had when making soup with the original plug. I thought the price was high for what the product is though. I always buy my Vitamix parts from Vita-king. He is very knowledgeable and helpful and his response time has always been great.
