This plate will get you using the "Bridge" pickup a lot more than usual , tames the shrill and warms the tone in a subtle but noticable way . I put it on a 60s style American Original, some (not all) Strats need this plate, as I understand it was a part of the original pickup dedign in the early 50s but was omitted to save time and cost? So really all Strats were meant to have them but the bridge position is essential.
