When a group of jug band musicians from San Francisco plugged into the mains, the Psychedelic era began. Exemplary musicianship and extended acid-fuelled jams created the legend that became the Grateful Dead. Their amazingly extensive repertoire showed that they never forgot their Folk-Blues roots and this collection features 22 of the tracks that inspired some of their most enduring performances.
