"There have been several recent studies of William Morris, but Dr. Thompson's approach is original and breaks new ground at many points. In particular, he devotes far more attention to Morris as a craftsman than any previous biographer...I am sure the book will appeal to anyone who wishes to understand Morris and his times, and I have learned from it a number of things which I did not know before. Synopsis
Paul Thompson's study of Morris's many-sided genius has been widely commended as the best short account available. Now in its third edition, containing a new and expanded selection of illustrations in both black and white and colour, it has been extensively revised to take into account the ways in which Morris's concerns anticipate those of present-day feminists, environmentalists, and educationalists., Extensively revised, this third edition of The Work of William Morris encompasses the results of recent scholarship, including in particular the new perspectives of feminist scholarship. Thompson examines how Morris's concerns anticipated those of present day environmentalists and explores in full detail Morris's views on child-centered education. Bringing to life his magnetic personality, this biography of one of the original socialists offers insight into Morris's campaign to bring art back to the people.

The books shipped fast and arrived in great condition. The packaging was very nice and neat, and easy to get into. The books were well insulated by the stuffing of the package (packing paper rolled up along the insides.) The books were just as described and pictured, so no problems there. I definitely got my money's worth on this order for sure & would definitely order from this seller again. I'll be keeping them in mind the next time I need such an old specialty book (awesome to get it bundled)

Though I haven't had a chance to look through all the volumes that came in this order, they appear to be in excellent condition and look very good. I'm really pleased that the seller (Tom the Book Guy) got my shipment in the mail promptly and sent the box by Ground Advantage so they arrived in only two days. I'm also pleased that these books were priced so reasonably. They are all high-quality academic books and I'm sure I will enjoy them in the weeks ahead. Thanks for such a smooth transaction!
