The Louvin's have enjoyed a long tenure as members of the Grand Ole Opry and released top-selling country/gospel albums for Capitol from '52-63. Critics and fans have long anticipated the CD debut of Satan Is Real, their best-known and most influential gospel album. Featuring songs of haunting imagery, this LP contains such Louvin originals as "Are You Afraid to Die" and "Satan Is Real," as well as the Carter Family's "The Kneeling Drunkard's Plea." Release is timed to coincide with The Louvin Brothers biography, in Close Harmony.
