One of the positive battery terminals was severely rusted. This radio has not worked in years if not decades. I spent some time with a dremel tool and ground away enough of the rust for the battery to make contact with a clean terminal. The radio now works and sounds good. The case is in excellent condition. I was lucky to get it working, caveat emptor.
