- This book is in Very Good condition and is lacking a dust, jacket. The spine ends and corners of the book covers have some, light bumping and rubbing. The covers have several spots of, discoloration. The text pages are clean and bright. There is a, small northwest airlines sticker on the front endpaper. "In the, beginning, there were huge, heavy engines, better suited to, powering model boats than model airplanes. In 1896, Samuel, Langley flew a large model airplane for 90 seconds, powered by, a steam engine of his own design. Full-size,, internal-combustion engines were in their infancy and miniature, engines were hand-built curiosities. A. D.
