Don't Be Cruel turned Bobby Brown from the bad boy of New Edition into a global solo superstar. The best-selling album of 1989, Don't Be Cruel spun off five Top 10 hits-the title track (R&B #1/Pop #8), "My Prerogative" (R&B/Pop #1), "Roni" (R&B #2/Pop #3), "Every Little Step" (R&B #1/Pop #3), "Rock Wit'cha" (R&B #3/Pop #7)-an incredible run interrupted only by Bobby's own Ghostbusters II hit "On Our Own" (R&B #1/Pop #2).
