I contacted the seller that told me I could send the package back. A couple of days later I decided to try the process again thinking maybe I typed in an incorrect number. In the bottom of the box, there was a "handwritten" piece of paper from the original owner with the serial number written. I was able to download the software and it works. Seller has great ethics and willing to work with buyers. I recommend!
