The "crazing" on the front of the tray is from use and age. This is a 100 year old used bar tray, all sorts of alcohol has been spilled on it. That's going to affect the finish. That's what gives it historic character. I carefully packed the tray with lots of bubble wrap in a very hard cardboard box to protect it. I paid extra to have it sent Priority. I didn't do that for a rusted out tray.
