Notes
Mark Sarno, multi-talented keyboardist, drummer, percussionist, and composer has been a musician since age five. In the early years of his career, he played in jazz, fusion, rock, new wave, and progressive rock bands. However, throughout those experiences, a hunger grew to create his own form of musical expression. By the early 90's, decidedly dissatisfied with the status quo, Sarno founded SessionArtists studios and the subsidiary record label. The goal: to produce a unique blend of Electronic and Progressive Rock music which reflects the myths, truths, and mysteries of the human journey. The first CD produced, Sarno's Throw off the Mask, was released in 1995 to auspicious reviews. The NAPRA ReVIEW's Carol Wright called the CD '...a contemporary instrumental fusion release that has true depth...' and notes that the '...combination of style and high intention...' is unique and may cross the boundaries between New Age, Jazz, and other genres. In 1996, Sarno crafted the SessionArtists release, Passages Through and Beyond. As a long-time student of all mythologies, Sarno used the metaphor of the mythological Hero Journey to weave the story of Passages Through and Beyond. (Click on CD Reviews to read multiple reviewer's comments on this release.) Three years in the making, the 1999 release of Sarno's Dark Matter marks a coming of age. In high-energy electronica and progressive rock, the relationship of cosmology to psychology is explored, consumed, and released in a musical composition sure to change the face of progressive instrumental music.

- b***b (20)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseItem came just as described— well packed. I did notice a torn page but just some of the beginning copyright info. Shipping took a long while, but seller was communicative through the process. Overall well priced and good experience.
