The reason is two fold, the switch mounting tabs need to be trimed off and new holes drilled in order to mount to the column, not a big deal. The BIG problem is the range of switch travel required to make the left AND right turn signals work exceeds the travel of the cable produced by the control assembly under the steering wheel. Bottem line, you can "bolt it up" (after mod.) and adjust it all day, you'll only have signals R or L, NEVER BOTH!Reply from: carswitches- Feedback replied by seller carswitches.- Feedback replied by seller carswitches.Hi, I have been selling this switch for over 20 years, and there is no problem with this Switch, first off if you have a problem, you contact the seller so we can figure out why it not bolting to your column, you never have to modify any Switch that I sell, I am a person with 35 Years experience in the Restoration Market and I am a Car Guy and not just someone selling stuff on eBay.
