Notes
The band is tough, the music is tougher. On "Sputnik Cafe," the Juno-nominated Rockin' Highliners stretch beyond the jump/swing influences that shaped their sound in the late '90s ("Oh My!" on Stony Plain Records) and deliver 12 potent blues/rock originals. Sputnik Cafe is laced with edgy guitars and witty lyrics delivered by big voiced front man Robert Tycholiz. The message is clear - this isn't your average blues band or your average blues recording. "Sputnik Cafe" confirms once again why the Edmonton Journal hails them as "The Nation's Hottest Blues Band".
