It is only designed to mount to a tubular rack,which on my atv, only the rear has a rack. So if i mounted it to the plastic top, it wouldn't let me open the lid without making some standoffs to elevate it higher so the hinges can open. Not the sellers fault, just wish it had more mounting options included for quads that are different styles. Wanted it for my dog to ride in
