Not only did this make the resulting repair attempt much more difficult as I had to recover and solder the previous connector, but this was also a highly dangerous way to ship a battery - if contact was made between the wires, fire could have resulted. Seller has ghosted my inquiry. Battery ultimately worked, but very concerning overall.
