The platters spin at 15,000 RPM to ensure the reading and transfer of data is efficient and timely. A large cache capacity of 16MB allows users to quickly return to frequently loaded pages and applications from a faster cache memory. The average seek and write times are 3.4ms and 3.9ms respectively with only a 2ms latency. The four-platter configuration improves reliability and allows for lower power consumption on top of faster data rates. This further improves the efficiency of an already fast SAS disk.Each Fujitsu MBA3300RC SAS hard drive is made with Dell desktops in mind. It fits even most small form factor Dell machines quite well. By using industry-standard components, this Fujitsu MBA3300RC hard drive also supports many other manufacturers. If you're into building your own machines, then you can use a Dell motherboard with a generic drive bay. Any number of hardware interface controllers should still recognize the Fujitsu MBA3300RC HDD just fine.Fujitsu rated Hitachi, Seagate, and IBM controllers fully compatible with their MBA3300RC SAS hard drives. All controllers compatible with onboard SCSI software spin the MBA3300RC SAS to 15k RPM.
