All of the items were packaged to protect them from mechanical impacts and static discharge. The package arrived within the date window estimated in the post as well. In less than a hour, I was able to apply new thermal paste at the CPU-heat sink interface and replaced the motherboard in my Dell XPS desktop. Fortunately, after the swap my system started up without a hitch.
