Pairing upper-crust detective Inspector Lynley (Nathaniel Parker, FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD) with his working-class partner Barbara Havers (Sharon Small, ABOUT A BOY), the series chronicles the Scotland Yard duo's efforts to crack difficult cases while coming to terms with each other's class differences. This collection features all four episodes of the series' first season: in "Well-Schooled in Murder," Lynley and Havers investigate the disappearance of a student at a posh boarding school; in "Payment in Blood," the murder of a playwright during the performance of his play; in "For the Sake of Elena," the death of a Cambridge professor's daughter; and in "Missing Joseph," the poisoning of a country clergyman.
