Protecto is: REEVES GABRELS( David Bowie, Tin Machine) and STEFAN 'BIG SWEDE' SVENSSON ( bigswedestudios.com) ' It has been said that politics and scientific exploration make for strange bed fellows an odd sentiment given the fact, that if the big bang theory holds true, then we all are made of the same molecular building blocks, that swirled out of an interstellar soup, resembling nothing glorious at all... Just, if you will, space dust. kinda the life force equivalent of rain water in a n.y.c. gutter, creating a suspension of gasoline, oil, blood, spit and other random organic contributions too numerous to name. If this is true, then it should not be so hard to imagine two life forces joining together and becoming a third, larger, super powerful form. ----------- With this as subtext, I will attempt to unravel the origin of the single entity that holds two beings, heretofore known as Protecto. ----------- Anyway, somewhere in the recent future, 2 sonic space explorers found themselves passing time at little chemo's rumpus room (a gin mill of questionable repute), on the moon io (pronounced eye-oh), one of several ore-rich satellites, that revolves around Jupiter. One was STEFAN SVENSSON (known on Earth as BIG SWEDE), an all around Ace of a Drummer, Producer, Engineer and Programmer. The other was REEVES GABRELS, a Sonic Sound Rider with a Checkered Past.--------------- As the story was recounted to us here at the Myth Institute, at least one bottle of a rare (at least around Jupiter) Swedish beverage was consumed, by these two adventurers. If I was a gambling man, I would bet it was more. ------- Apparently, one of the two decided it would be fun to go for a spin in BIG SWEDE's vintage, light-speed Negotiator. (for those of you who were absent from history class that day, the Negotiator is a much sought after space travel vehicle made by, of course, Volvo, at one of their now defunct Mars facilities). But I digress... ------- Maybe the big mistake was letting REEVES drive (according to popular lore, he drives like he plays guitar). Whatever the reason, while passing one of the outer rings of Uranus, the pair found themselves caught in one of those multi-frequency ray showers, that happens at the outer reaches of our known Universe. Funny things happen when the human form gets bombarded with rays spanning from Alpha to Gamma. things change. ----------- One thing is certain:---------- Our two Sonic-Nauts saw things. they heard things. Maybe some things no man should hear/know. Not the least of which is to stay away, from the rings of Uranus.-------- BIG SWEDE says it was the music of the Spheres. REEVES, when asked about the events of that fateful joyride, will look you in your third eye and simply say, 'Mysterium Stupendum' and then insist that Protecto is the 'Alfalfa (sic) and the Omega' . Together, they swear that they have an obligation to recreate the 'Music of the Spheres', the melodies of deep space, that symphony of indescribable sound, for the people of earth. ----------- Strangest of all, on returning to Earth, they found that the only way they could make this music, was to merge form on a molecular level, becoming a superhuman form, that contains two once human life forces. and that form, dear friends, is........
