Seller Notes: “...an awesome and rare old sculptural, nature art dress belt buckle showing Grizzly Bear with ... “...an awesome and rare old sculptural, nature art dress belt buckle showing Grizzly Bear with Salmon. The late (1926-2013) renowned "Alaskan Artist", C. Alan Johnson, aka "Bud", was born in Pasadena, California. He became well known as the "Alaskan Artist", after he and his wife Suzanne founded the C. Alan Johnson Company in 1958. This is a smaller, bronze buckle with a beautiful sculpted art image of a grizzly bear with a salmon in his mouth, made/signed by C. Alan Johnson in 1976. It is in pretty nice vintage condition, as shown in the photos it does have a dark patina, and some minor wear and tear from age or use. It measures approximately 2-1/4" x 1-7/8", fits a 1-1/2" wide belt and weighs about 2.3 oz.
