Over the past three decades a great many people in the South have grown up watching, enjoying, and learning from GPTV's Emmy-Award winning 'Swampwise' wildlife host, Okefenokee Joe. Having long been recognized and respected as a resourceful and inspiring educator, Joe eagerly encourages all of us to learn as much as we possibly can about all life on Earth, so that all of us will have a better understanding of how we can protect and preserve our environment now, and for future generations. With a truly awesome voice, filled with authenticity, and a 'swamp flavored' back-woods drawl, his original songs, and his message effectively prove that we humans can, and must co-exist with all of God's creation. His latest CD, 'Disappearing Faces' is a compilation of songs dedicated to that end. The list of endangered plants and animals on our planet is growing, and much too rapidly. Okefenokee Joe believes that our very existence on this Earth depends upon the existence of all the life around us. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this CD is being donated to the Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina Wildlife Federations.
