This did not affect how the monitor worked (I had an extra power cord). The seller immediately refunded us 25% of the price and agreed to send a power cord. One day later, the monitor completely quit working. The seller simply asked for photos and then sent us a full refund. Not sure what happened but the seller was very responsive and great. A+!
