Available on DVD, "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" is basically a children's comedy, but many adults enjoy it as well. The cast of characters from this animated film includes a giraffe, hippo, lion, and zebra. They decide to leave the island they were stranded on at the end of the first movie. Boarding a plane built by the penguins from the original movie. The group crash lands in Africa. This is where they meet Alex's zebra parents and a group of American tourists that have been stranded. The support characters are mostly lemurs and penguins. The group of four is helped out by some new cast members and manages to find their way to a wild life preserve. The "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" animated film stars the voices of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Jada Pinkett Smith, and David Schwimmer. This DVD has a sensormatic widescreen format. Even though "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" is animated, it is rated PG for some mild violence and odd humor.
